I like to call him by his name, Terry, than by his username @surpassinggoogle because the username is just like an avatar image, it's just a picture he gives to the world.
Last Saturday was my first time joining in the conversation for the first time, I have planned a couple of times to join but always missed it due to time difference (I thought he was giving his time in GMT when it was actually in Manila time zone). It was awesome as I listened to him talk for over 4 hours and the words were powerful.
I will go straight to talk about what was discussed that day. Terry shared some Intels on the power of our Steemit post.
First, do you know that a lot of big companies pays to have their site sit at the top of search engines (as an ads)? But something has happened lately, post made on Steemit have been appearing at the top of Google search results these days.
What does this means for you? Knowing that whatever you put on Steemit have the potential of appearing as top result on Google for the whole world to see, wouldn't that make you wanna give that extra bit of touch to your post to show to the world who you really are and what you are capable of doing?
How powerful is your Steemit post? With Steemit posts starting to top Google search results, it means that your post is probably the first answer someone will read on that subject area. So, if you wanna write about treatment for stomach ache or how to cook banga soup, wouldn't you put in a lot more effort to give someone the best of you knowing that you might be saving a life? I'm sure you would. So have that at the back of your mind when making your next post.

Let your post be the gateway to your dreams.
I do believe that Steemit is beyond just a blogging site. It's a place where you can have your dreams built. I have witnessed many people came to this platform and use it as a stepping stone to their dreams.
- @michaelcj was a passionate entertainer, he brought his passion to the Steem blockchain and today we have @steemcamp with Miss Steem Nigeria and One Stage Talent Hunt. I learned there have been over 100 successful participants to the semi finals. I call that awesome.
@chiama said she always wanted to be a presenter but ended up with a job as a teacher. Today she's building her dreams with WAFRO media.
I wanted to see artist earn by doing what they do best. I have lots of friends in West Africa that I thought it wise to help out people in west Africa. - @surfyogi
This were the heart desires of @surfyogi, out of it came @artzone and @wafrica community.
My dream has always been to help build people's dreams. It might sounds stupid but that's my happiness, my passion, my dreams. Then I met @surfyogi with his dreams about @wafrica and there begun my journey into making his dreams come to pass. Now, the goal of Steemit Global Adoption by @dimimp have been the latest to add to my list of dream building.
So, you see? Whatever your dream is, bring it to the Steem blockchain. You have the dream, we have the nodes, now can we start building something right away? This my ideas about the Steem blockchain was further strengthen after listening to Terry speak.
Keep your dreams alive.
It's easy for people to get blinded with small success that they begin to enjoy the tiny luxuries and forget the bigger dreams they had. That shouldn't be you. You should
create your dreams even if it is an illusions
pay attention to even the tiniest details no matter the cost.
rehearse your dreams, see things differently. Your laptop and phones are the gateway to your millions. Begin to envision the future and connect that to the present to know how best your phone/laptop will help achieve that goal.
Put your dreams in your blog and get unadulterated feedback (comments).
You see what I meant when I said we just kept digging and digging with Terry on discord for over 7 hours. There are a lot more to learn, so i'll ask you to join the discord server here https://discord.gg/pShpyBR
TL:DR
If you have not gotten anything from what I said, just remember this two short lines
your post is the gateway to your dreams
always keep your dreams alive.
Thank you Terry for this show of kindness sharing some intels to ease our pains and to prepare us for the glory of the nearest future.
