On a long flight from New York back to Los Angeles, a lawyer is seated next to a blonde who has the window seat. Thinking she is just another dumb blonde, he decides to pass the time by playing a game with her. His hope is that he can impress her with his intellect and perhaps even secure a date upon landing.
After introducing himself he asks her if she would like to play a fun game. She is tired and just wants to nap, but the lawyer is persistent. He says that the game is interesting and fun and that she will have a great time.
He goes on to relay how the game is played. He will ask her a question. If she doesn't know the answer then she will pay him $10. At this point, they will switch roles. She will ask him a question and if he doesn't know the answer then he will pay her $10.
Still insisting that she is tired and just wants to nap, the lawyer ups the ante. "How about if you don't know the answer you pay me $10 and if I don't know the answer I will pay you a whopping $1000".
Still tired, but realizing that this persistent lawyer will not go away, she agrees to play the game. The lawyer asks the first question, "How many gallons of water are in an Olympic-size swimming pool?". The blonde stares at him, and without saying a word, dips into her purse and hands him a $10 bill.
Now it is the blonde's turn to ask a question. With a sly grin on her face, she says "What animal climbs up a snowy mountain with one head and comes back with two?".
The lawyer, looking perplexed, decides to elicit the help of his laptop. He does search after search, but cannot find any reference to an animal that could match these criteria. He even contacts various reference libraries and emails all his friends. Frustrated, annoyed, and very weary, he hands the blonde a total of $1000 in unmarked bills.
The blonde promptly says thanks and goes back to her initial mission of taking a nap.
"Wait a second!" the lawyer replies, waking her up. "What's the answer to the question?".
Without uttering a word, the blonde opens up her purse again, hands him another $10 bill, and promptly goes back to her nap.
Ha! And you thought that blondes were dumb!
