In this second edition of What Wealth DynamX Believes I am going to share with you 3 more of my company’s core value. In the previous edition I talked about my 3 policies of no gossip, no whining, & be on time. (Click here to read that article). Here are my next 3 cultural policies:
Do not give a job back. When an individual commits to getting a certain job done it is up to that person to make it happen. Anything less than completion is like quitting. This applies to clients and teammates the same. Traditionally, a client of a financial advisor gives 100% responsibility of their finances to an advisor and hopes that by age 60 things will magically be ready for them. I actually assign my clients homework. I make them read, study, show up to events, network, etc. I have in the past and will continue to fire clients who do not finish what they’ve started. Why? Because someone who pushes their financial responsibility aside to a financial advisor will never build wealth.
Personal responsibility. If one cannot own the problem, one cannot own the solution. I require that personal responsibility is taken for everything. On the subject of personal responsibility, those who do not take responsibility are victims by definition. Stuff happens to them. People who act like victims are continually treated like victims. My program teaches clients that they must happen to their money rather than their money always happening to them. You’re broke? Own it! You have nothing saved for retirement? Own it! You can’t afford to cover the vital living expenses of your family? Own it! The moment you decide you caused all the problems with your finances is the same moment you may begin causing the solutions.
Production. Everyone has a quota. A quota is a required metric of production from one period of time to another. As your Wealth Coach, I am hired on performance alone. I have a quota. If I don’t meet my quota for a client, I don’t expect that client to keep me around. Traditional financial advisors will not commit to a quota. They live in a world of ambiguity and vague descriptions like “past performance does not guarantee future results”. Commit. Commit first and then make it happen. I have quotas for my clients as well. I require my clients to save a certain amount per month. I require an income target for my clients. I require my clients watch a number of training videos per day. I require my clients maintain certain passing scores on the courses they take with me. The wealthy exceed their quotas in pursuit of their potential. The poor do the bare minimum (poor is a mindset not a financial condition).
