China, Politicians, Unions, Lazy work force ?
Do you ever look at something you purchase and see exactly where it came from? Have you thought about what it would take to manufacture something you bought? How much would it cost you to make it? One hundred of them? A thousand of them? A million of them? If you are like most people, you haven't.
I have owned many businesses and have made widgets and I can tell you first hand it is not easy! The stress from competition, employees, regulations, paperwork, timelines, and just making ends meet is really mind boggling.
50 years ago America ran supreme in manufacturing. We were literally the best at almost everything. "American made" really meant something all over the world. We had an innovative spirit, and pride in what we made. For a number of reasons, that has changed immensely over the years.
Manufacturing is a major economic pillar for a nation, it creates good paying jobs and creates a sense of pride for people to be a part of something bigger than themselves. Throughout history, nations who have dominated in manufacturing, have prospered the most. Most products we see in the U.S. today, are made in China. It is not a coincidence that the United State's biggest lender is China. This brings a lot of "hate" towards China from the U.S.
But I would ask........
Do our citizens even want these jobs if we "brought them back"?
Do we as consumers want to pay twice as much for something "Made in the U.S.A?"
Should we be thankful to them for enriching our lives with all these inexpensive products?
Would like to hear your thoughts. Please resteem to get this around.
Thanks
