WHY?
A number of us (myself @stellabelle, @roomservice, @hivetrending, @hiveqa, @traciyork, and many others) in the Hive Marketing discord https://discord.gg/7yYFEq3
have been planning the #JOINHIVE Referral Contest for months. We were waiting for Peakd and Hive.blog to integrate the hiveonboard.com system into their platforms. This appears to be completed, or in completion, so now we can plan the campaign to onboard new Hivers.
I wanted to have a video contest to crowd-source a great marketing video for this campaign. This will do 2 things:
Raise awareness about the upcoming #JOINHIVE Referral Contest (which will start on September 1 and run until September 30.)
Reward our own talented Hive community video creators.
Generate lots of different marketing videos for this contest so that we can all share the videos that are entered into this contest, even if they are not chosen as the winner.
HOW TO ENTER
We are really looking for fun, snappy videos.......have fun, and keep it simple. If you want to make a fun video of you dancing and just add #JOINHIVE at the end THAT'S COMPLETELY FINE! Creativity and having fun is what I want you all to focus on.
Create a video explaining the #joinhive Referral Contest.
Sometimes it's the most simple videos that make people pay attention. Dont try to put too much text or explanation in your video. HAVE FUN. Then you can say "Read Full Contest Details" something like that.
Video formats: Upload to @threespeak. In addition, you can also upload to YouTube, DTube, Vimm, LBRY, BitChute, etc. The more places you upload to, the better. If for some reason you can't upload to 3Speak, then use your preferred video platform. Your entry will be accepted no matter what platform you use.
Video Length: 2 minutes or less.
Your purpose: To visually communicate the upcoming #JOINHIVE Referral Campaign in a video that is less than 2 minutes long.
Use these tags in Hive when you post your video contest entry: #joinhive #joinhivevideo

note: You don’t have to list all the prizes in your video, you can just say $200 of $HIVE and @hiveswag t-shirt.
You don't have to include all the info above, you can just do a snappy video and then link the full details in the links below the video. I know it said to include all the details, but I think it's too challenging...it can be done, but it's quite difficult! At any rate, be creative! Any effective marketing will be valuable. So don't stress too much if you can't fit all the text or info in your video entry. Whatever works best for you is acceptable.
** I have started a curation trail using the hivepeople account so that whales can follow this to give the new referrals upvotes on their #joinhive selfie posts. Go to https://hive.vote/ and follow the hivepeople trail.
*** You must use the hashtag #JOINHIVE in your video. We want to make sure people use this #JOINHIVE as much as possible across social media.
Each post will be manually curated and we have a system in place already in Hive Marketing discord to automatically post these so that we can manually review each new referral. If you want to help curate these, join the Hive Marketing discord channel: https://discord.gg/7yYFEq3
You can be creative with the wording on some of these, but you must use the tag #joinhive somewhere in your video.
