That's a nice round number!
1,000 Steem Power... wow!
Hey, roughly 5 times that and I'll be a dolphin!! ;)
Considering most new steemians (including myself) start off with a 15 Steem Power delegation from Steemit, and 0.100 Steem in their account (or so it was when I began), that's a big accomplishment in a little over 6 months.
Most of the Steem that I powered up is purchased (931.271), but in small tranches when I had some spare money. Which means that only around 7-8% of the SP, Steem, SBD was generated inside the Steem blockchain, kind of a ROI, although I wasn't looking to maximize it. My rewards and opportunities grow monthly with my SP however, even if the price of Steem is lower than we might expect and probably lower than it's worth it.
I also kept in check two of my other goals related to Steem Power:
- don't go with my available SP on my account below 500
- have a ratio of 50/50 between SP kept on my account and that delegated to others, if that doesn't affect first rule (I might adjust this in the future)

As you can see from the image above, I have exactly 1,000 SP on my account (I have to say I planned for it and powered up enough liquid Steem to make it to the round number). And you can also see below, about 500 of it is delegated to others, so that's 50/50.
I announced in a previous post that I want to boost my Steem Power to at least 1,500 by the year end. I am on track so far.
I'll probably soon buy a little more Steem and also add another small goal to chase, it provides an excellent objective on the short term, and a boost of confidence when I achieve it.
Steem on!
