Now, a dust storm of seemingly impossible magnitude has completely enveloped Mars!

While many ships enter the sun; store fuel internally, and then create an explosive blast wave to hurl the ship in the direction of the next leg of its journey, some ships employ transversal field energy collection, which uses a criss-crossing energy collection grid that is embedded into the hull of the ship, with multiple nodes that control rapidly fluctuating polarity along the intersecting lines; this causes gathered energy to be trapped and stored on the surface of the ship, because a rapid state of flux is created, which makes it difficult for normal energy discharge to occur, thus eliminating the necessity for internal energy storage, or adding to the ship's energy storage capacity by using both internal and external means.
