Indonesia has the opportunity to build a large blockchain and crypto industry, but there are still a number of obstacles that need to be overcome. This was conveyed by Vijay Garg, CEO of KoinX, at the Indonesia Blockchain Summit held at GreenHouse Co-Working Space, Jakarta, Monday (01/04).
"Among the problems faced in Indonesia about blockchain, blockchain is difficult to learn and includes new knowledge. Plus, there aren't many sources that teach blockchain in easy-to-understand languages, "Garg said.
Garg said, in addition to education, the blockchain challenge includes making an adequate legal system and a robust risk management system. To help resolve this problem, KoinX is present in Indonesia as a crypto exchange that actively participates in building the blockchain ecosystem.
As a company that has technology certification from the Ministry of Communication and Information, KoinX has a mission to be the first stop solution that connects foreign business interests and local businesses. The company is of the opinion that it is difficult to develop the blockchain industry if there is no collaboration between foreign and domestic parties.
Therefore, the exchange made by the KNS Group, a conglomerate from India, wants to launch a crypto adoption education and campaign in Indonesia. KoinX sees one problem is that many projects and platform chains are of good quality, both private and public, but lack developers and user bases.
Indeed, at present Indonesia is still lacking in qualified blockchain developers. In fact, Vijay estimates that there are only fewer than 500 blockchain developers in the country out of a total of over one hundred thousand worldwide. When compared with the total number of software developers of 18 million, the number of blockchain developers globally is very small.
"To increase public awareness about the blockchain, KoinX wants to build an inclusive ecosystem. We will collaborate with blockchain projects to encourage adoption and use by the general public in Indonesia, "he said.
At present, KoinX, which positions itself as a trusted, safe and efficient exchange for Indonesian crypto activists, provides support for depositing fiat money and also pair trading with fiat. The exchange claims to be able to facilitate deposits and withdrawals to local banks in less than one day.
In order to achieve its vision of creating a national consensus for blockchain and crypto, KoinX also plans to connect the global crypto project to local developers, technology students and potential institutions and businesses in the country.
The Indonesia Blockchain Summit is an event held by KoinX to educate the Indonesian people about blockchain and crypto, especially in terms of regulation. The event was attended by a number of crypto companies, such as Bgogo, a crypto exchange, and ChainUp, a crypto project to create an exchange. From within the country, there was also the Head of CoFTRA Indrasari Wisnu Wardhana, the Indonesian Blockchain Association, and the local HARA Token crypto project. source
