Look, if you're still on the "Rittenhouse should die in prison because he's a racist murderer" camp, I think that the meatball from Aqua Teen Hunger Force could beat you at a game of Connect Four.
So, to be even more honest and to hope that some of you will be honest (at least with yourselves if not with me), I'm going to say the following:
I entirely believe that, if the ideologies we're flipped - actually, that's too easy - if the ideologies we're flipped and the circumstance made simpler, you'd all be singing a different tune.
Say, instead of Rittenhouse coming armed to a BLM/Antifa march with a gun, Gaige Grosskreutz attended a Proud Boys march. Say that Grosskreutz wasn't even assaulted or chased like Rittenhouse was. Say that Grosskreutz just took his Glock and shot two random Proud Boys and killed them.
Now, say that the two random Proud Boys that he killed were a serial child rapist, as Rosenbaum was, and the other were a serial woman beater, as Huber was.
I entirely believe that all of you who are saying "Damn the evidence, I don't like Rittenhouse, burn him!" would, in this hypothetical situation, say, "Damn the evidence. Grosskreutz is a hero. The world is a better place because he killed those fuckers. Hey, and we lost a couple of conservatives!"
I entirely believe that that's what my social media would have been flooded with over the last year. You'd be clamoring for Grosskreutz, in this hypothetical, to be let off despite clearly being guilty of murder because he's your guy. I don't even think that it would have to be shown that his victims were child rapists and domestic abusers for you to get behind him.
Feel free to tell me that I'm wrong. All you need to do is say that you would absolutely call for the blood of the Antifa guy just as, if not more loudly, than you have been calling for Kyle's and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Still, I doubt that I'll hear from anyone.
