As well as incorporating blinky coloured lights into my laser engraving projects, I have also been working on making 3d objects with curves.
This usually involves multiple layers, but it can also be done with the judicious use of what is called a "living hinge".
A living hinge is a pattern cut into the lasered piece in this case, but it can also be a thin part of a 3d printed or extruded plastic object too.
Essentially it is a part that will bend but not break. How many times depends on math and the material properties, but for my purposes it will be a fixture rather than something flexed very often.
