The people in Hong Kong have been trying to stay separate from Chinese government jurisdiction and this tech threatens to violate that separation. People can be spied on and if convicted of a crime can be extradited to China giving the Chinese government authority over them. And with government calling the shots as to what is a crime and how it should be punished its always arbitrary. I am in favor of secession all the way down to the individual. Hong Kong shouldn't be influenced by the Chinese government. Yet another example of how government only exists to control by force. Preservation and expansion of power is always their goal and is all they really care about.
