A little while ago I came across Lensy which is the NFT worlds answer to stock photography. I will come back to NFTs, as I have been writing a few notes on the topic behind the scenes to formulate a post which isn't yet complete. I had almost forgotten about my application on Lensy, which was simply a case of filling in a form, verifying via Twitter and then waiting for someone to verify me. I checked here and there, only to see that I still hadn't been whitelisted, today I have, it's ready and waiting!
What is especially interesting about Lensy is that it is built on the Hive blockchain. To get started you need to make a payment of 0.6 SWAP.HIVE and after that it costs 0.1 SWAP.HIVE and it is simple to do this, head over to https://lensy.io/nicklewis/wallet and make a deposit. I put in a bit more than 0.6, so that I can perhaps upload 6 images to start.
Let's mint it!
Tokenising my first image was really easy
You can view my genesis image on Lensy at https://lensy.io/gallery/nicklewis_black-and-white_swingbridge
I will use up the remaining swap hive to mint some further images on Lensy. I will also compare it with other platforms out there, as I already have accounts on OpenSea, Rarible, Objkt etc.
