As usual, just as a reminder before we started, you can find the essential guide to read my traits mapping post here:

We will continue on with our traits mapping towards the Neutral ranged collection. There are few of them, but they are a very convenient ranged card on all situation for all Splinters. Typically Neutral ranged will also be inferior compared to the elemental splinter counterpart. But again to be sure about this, we should take a closer looks into their parameter profile and also their abilities. So let's continue on.
Number of Card by Rarity and Mana
As usual before we continue, please familiarize yourself with the mana range grouping used to ease mentioning any particular cards.
Rarity | 2 Mana | 3 Mana | 4 Mana | 5 Mana | 6 Mana | 7 Mana | 8 Mana | 10 Mana | 12 Mana |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Normal | |||||||||
Rare | |||||||||
Epic | |||||||||
Legendary |
There are fewer cards for ranged cards compared to melee cards, which is a total of 15 cards where 2 cards come from dual attack type (War Chaang - No.10 and Drybone Raider - No.12). While the ranged cards have fewer cards on the high-end mana, they still encompass the whole low to mid mana range, starting from 2 mana up to 8 mana. There are at least 2 cards on each mana level, with 7 mana having the most one (3 cards). Compared to other splinter ranged cards, the number of cards in this collection fare much better. Death Splinter have only 12 ranged cards, while Earth Splinter and Life Splinter have each 13 ranged cards (although the Souldbound reward cards haven't been included at the time of posts were made).
Rarity looks quite decent with equal balance on Normal, Rare, and Epic type. Normal cards available more on the mid to high mana range, while Rare and Epic available more on the low mana range. Legendary only available on the high-end part. Cornealus could be said as the only pure Neutral ranged card with Legendary status. By this, this collection are very much affordable to get.
Traits Mapping
We could clearly see from the above charts, that in average the Neutral ranged cards doesn't seemed to have lower starting parameter compared to other elemental splinter. The overall damage/mana ratio stood below 0.5 tick. This doesn't seemed bad, since other cards also started in similar starting point. The health/mana ratio also looks comparable, since some cards have entered the SOUTH quadrant, and this with the mind that 2 of them are high mana cards (War Chaang - No.10 and Cornealus - No.14). Speed might be the only weakness of this collection, but still its fare more better than the average speed of Water Splinter. Armor doesn't become a key aspect.
Max level chart show a very significant progression. Almost two-third of the collection have entered the SOUTH quadrant. Damage/mana ratio looks a bit lag behind considering half of the cards gathered in 0.50 tick, compared with other elemental splinter which had almost all of the cards to reached the top parts of SOUTH quadrant. Damage/mana ratio looks very peculiar, since this collection barely able to reach the 1.50 tick, while their elemental counterpart jumped into 2.0 tick and beyond. Speed progress very much having 4 blue nodes and only 3 red nodes left behind. Its pretty much in balance with other elemental splinter, considering Fire have more blue nodes, and although water have less blue nodes, it also have less red nodes.
Abilities Mapping
Typical to all ranged cards, this collection also majorly consist of Striker
abilities. Snare has been the most one to come up, possessed by both the low, mid, and high mana cards. Piercing being the second one with a total of 3 cards possessed it. But it seemed Gobson Bomber will be the one to gain the most of it, considering the massive excess damage from its Recharge. Other Striker
abilities doesn't looks stood-out since there are only 1 for each. Halving, one of the rarest ability, could be found in this collection possessed by Halfling Alchemist (No.1). Tanker
and Support
abilities are minor in number and in average each abilities only come up once. Supply Runner (No.8) is the only ranged cards having a full Support
roles with Strengthen Swiftness. In contrary Cornealus (No.14) are the only ranged card with a full Tanker
roles composed of a full counter abilities.
Personal Thought
This final section, I give my personal thought for several card mentioned below.
'1. Halfling Alchemist
![]() | |
Halfling Alchemist is a true cannon fodder cards solely come from its Redemption ability and its basic armor status. Other than that, this cards are valuable solely for its Halving, which should delay the assault coming from opponent's Tanker . But with the rise of price, its very difficult to gain hand on this card currently. |
'2. Tower Griffin
![]() | |
Tower Griffin might have a mediocre damage. But having a high health potential, combined with Flying and Protect; this card could turn into an asset as a back-row protector. |
'3. Gargoya Devil
![]() | |
I don't particularly love to use Gargoya Devil in any occasion. Mainly because of the cost and benefit of it. It cost 7 mana, but provide only 5 health and 2 armor, while bringing only 4 damage. Gem Meteor and Goblin Chariot could bring the same damage output with lower mana cost. Even if this cards have Flying and Close Range ability, the health and armor are still incomparable with cards like Molten Ash Golem or Wave Brood. |
