A Bold New Approached And A Winning Strategy With Plutus

Two years in the game with Plutus, and it’s been a wild ride full of rewards, perks, and cashback! The Plutus card is the ultimate crypto-friendly debit card, bridging the gap between traditional finance and the decentralized world. What are $PLU CRY rewards? That's a short for compounding rewards yield, the daily $PLU earned based on how much you have stacked and the current level. This rewards go into the pending balance and vest after 12 months!

There's also a multiplier, which stays in pending until the user stacked for 18 months. After turning active, it grows bigger the longer you stack, going up to 5x after five years! I am not joking when I am saying that Plutus keeps on giving!

I recently moved to Adventurer, and the current stats are better. Before that my CRY was at 3.6% and had no multiplier. However, the $PLU daily rewards started to stack and the unlock period started to move towards those 18 months! LFG!

Plutus has introduced several key updates to enhance the utility and sustainability of its platform and the $PLU token. One of the most significant changes is the transition to self-custody stacking. The tl;dr was "move the tokens to keep the earnings" and the feedback was mixed.

Under this new system, PLU tokens earned within the Plutus app can still be redeemed for various utilities but will no longer contribute to Reward Level progression or Compounding Rewards Yield (CRY) unless they are transferred to a connected external wallet.

This shift is designed to encourage self-custody, fostering a more sustainable ecosystem while mitigating speculative behaviour. My in-app $PLU balance had to be transferred to the linked wallet to maintain perks and benefits.

I withdrew my $PLU balance to my non-custodial wallet, and because only 411 tokens were available from 500... I had to make a bold move. The idea was to hit the Adventurer Level, so I hit the market. I bought 89 $PLU when the gwei was low, adding another perk from now onwards!

Further strengthening its commitment to transparency and long-term viability, Plutus has introduced platform enhancements that align PLU emissions with the £10 intrinsic value established by in-app utilities.

By reinforcing a ‘FUD-proof’ model, Plutus seeks to create a more resilient economic structure for its ecosystem. To support this effort, Plutus also plans to open-source its financial model, allowing for public verification and fostering innovation within the industry.

My Plutus journey continues... with enhanced benefits! I am earning $PLU from my four perks, basically having Netflix for free, cheaper petrol at Shell, and discounted shopping at Asda or Lidl!

Now that most of my $PLU was moved externally, these tokens will continue to count toward level progression and CRY earnings. This shift is designed to encourage self-custody, fostering a more sustainable ecosystem while mitigating speculative behaviour.

The in-app tokens will stack in there until I will qualify for a free withdrawal, or will be spent on the Utility section. I can choose between Gift Cards or AirMilles, but will probably go on a shopping frenzy close to my birthday!
