I have some bad news for everyone! I lost a dear friend today! I do not get sentimental about vehicles much but this time it was a hard thing to do. The silver bullet is no longer with us.
I got the silver bullet 4 years ago and drove it home from Wyoming after I left the oil fields. It was a great little minivan and it will be missed.
We were out doing errands today and I noticed that it was not doing well and I just thought it will be fine and went about the rest of the day. Then the A/C quit working, it was 92 degrees today, that sucks as the windows do not roll down and it got hot in there.
So we headed home to where it was cooler and we got close to a friend's place and it started running like crap, well it was not a good sign. We started looking it over and it was pronounced DOA at 4:32 PM today!
It was old and not in the best shape anyway, it needed a little of everything to make it all better and to be honest, a Ford Minivan is not worth the money to make it whole again. We got home and got in the A/C and begin to cool off. The friend had a little Kia minivan he let us borrow but the key is, it has no reverse, as the solenoid is out for reverse. So as I say, Always Forward! LOL!
So now the real fun begins getting an everyday runner here and getting the van fixed to start my journey. We have some irons in the fire and maybe something will happen soon. Like they say when it rains it pours or if it could go wrong it will. It will all work out sooner or later and life just keeps getting more interesting every day.
