FIFA world cup is mostly viewed sports event which occurs at every 4 years of interval.
The 2018 football world cup is held by FIFA, and first time hosted by Russia from June 14 to July 15, 2018.
You might be wandering about the one question, how and when FIFA world cup had started. Even if you might not concern about this question, then don't worry, it's may be useful for you basic knowledge.
So, let's go back to 1872 in Glasgow, where first international football ball was played between Scotland and England.
Around 20th century, football had gained ground all around the world and national football associations were being founded and also recognized by Olympic committee.
One of the biggest football association was, The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) founded in Paris on 22 May 1904 including the country France, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland, with Germany.
There was first attempt made by FIFA to organize a international match in 1906 outside the Olympic framework and was held in Switzerland 🇨🇭 but that was a big failure.
Olympic events continued to happen and contested only between amateur teams along with competitions involving professional teams also started to appear. Sir Thomas Lipton organised the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy was held in Turin in 1908. Sir Thomas Lipton trophy sometimes called as the first WORLD CUP.
After various up and downs in Organizing the Football on a huge platform, finally in 1930 FIFA president Jules Rimet decided to organize a international football for men named as Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) WORLD CUP .
Participed by 32 countries, and Uruguay 🇺🇾 was the first winner.
