One eye half opened I hear an alarm go off (at least Im pretty sure thats what it was), I roll over and reach for my phone. I’m going to have to ask Fitbit to confirm but it feels like I slept for about 12 hours- they were tossy and interrupted, felt like a choppy night at sea, but I managed to have a dream where I was doodling on a notebook at an apple event, with Tim Cook, Natalie Portman from the movie “Leon”, and a bunch of house burglars. It was a weird one.
Scrolling through emails and notifications (I know, it’s the worst way to start the day) I noticed a job offer for some voice over work, something about the robot-voice of a vacuum? I need to check up on that again… hoping I didn’t dream that too, because I really enjoy that part of my freelance work.
I sit up (eventually) grab my laptop, pop it open to receive a message that the little 128G flash drive I use for some extra memory has been “removed without ejecting”. You know that one that scolds you like the world is going to end. Similar to that one on mattress tags, scarrryyyy! Morning processing power now diverted to search protocols... ugh.
I took a walk to the bathrooms to wash my face and use the toilet, deciding to defer that little stress to a more awake, clean-faced-Dayleeo, and when I return- I grab the flashlight.
Just when I started to make peace with it being GONE GONE, (a tiny black piece of plastic, in and around a bed area and chair I do almost all my hours from,- near impossible), I decided to turn the sheets one more time and there it sat.
PHEW - talk about analog data recovery.
I trimmed the cracked piece of plastic I suspect was catching and caused it to pull out, blew on it, to remove any dust or fuzz (a habit leftover from my early Nintendo days) and popped it back in.
Now I sit at my normal station, coffee half way finished. @teamhumble tapping away to my right, notebook to my left calling me to fill it with the things nagging at the back of my brain to get done before its family chill down time later.
