The new Bruce Willis action flick Death Wish is being called racist, out of touch and a wet dream for the alt-right. I watched the preview below twice. What I noticed was two white men being killed and one black man. I also observed a black child and a black adult female thanking the Bruce Willis character for helping them. So, what is racist about this? Is this some kind of self hate white on white racism? I'm really confused but the snow flakes on the left often leave me in this state.
So, Joshua Rivera of the esteemed GQ magazine had the opinion that Death Wish is " the most tone-deaf film of the year" and " a work of cowardice and opportunism, piggybacking off hard-right fear-mongering and a government that's completely and utterly disingenuous in its rhetoric about violent crime."
Now, I'm not sure what fear-mongering Josh is talking about here or what government he is referring to in regards to violent crime. I believe the dialog coming from the current White House and DOJ is anything but soft on crime. I would have to say that the message that the "government" is delivering is a rather hard line.
Snowflake Josh went on to ramble about how the film was shot in Chicago and the music in the preview was Back in Black by AC/DC. You take Chicago and an awesome AC/DC song with the word black in it and a film character that is white and all of a sudden we have burning crosses in front of our nations theaters.
Then we have Gabriel Bell of Salon.com. Ms. Bell, sorry I am assuming it's miss, I didn't ask how she likes to be identified. Anyways, bleeder Bell titled her article 'With crime at historic lows, the trailer for the upcoming film seems culled from a paranoid NRA video." Wow, she I mean bleeder Bell came out swinging with that analysis. Now we have racism, socially tone deaf, out of touch and NRA labels on this film - the SJW's must be having fucking seizures left and right. Bleed Bell said the film was "anti-reality vortex of Trumpian thought." The film is based in Chicago in a reality that just doesn't exist, crime is not an issue in Chicago and "if anything, cops do too much in the name of law and order." Now, I guess Bleeder Bell gets her news from the liberal bubble and has no clue about the out of control homicide rate in Chicago. Maybe Bleeder Bell doesn't know about the murder rate due to it mostly being black on black crime and the only time liberal nut jobs care about this is ballot stuffing season.
Bleeder Bell wasn't done. "With a heroic white man using his personal judgement and violence to stand up to a world of shadowy criminals and the namby-pamby establishment that spoils them, what we have here is scifi, alt-reality porn for the “from my cold, dead hands,” America First set — something for Stephen Miller’s spank bank. It’s as reprehensible as it is ill timed."
The film also stars Eli Roth who said "Thanks for the Flack Over 'Death Wish' THE BUZZ IS AWESOME!!!"
