This post may be shorter than usually because I'm not used to writing them from my phone and I am forced to do it right now.
So, despite not having the roof finished and having workers all around the yard and attic, today was the birthday of two members of the family and the decision was made to take some time off and enjoy the day.
I can't say I disagreed with this idea, we had enough banging and other loud noises as the workers progressed with their work.
So, away we went. And we had a great time, I'd say.
We left the workers to do their job since it's a very well organized team and you rarely need to check up on them (we worked with them before and we know very well the team leader and firm owner).
So we weren't worried. We just arrived about an hour ago, and we had a surprise though:
No internet and no cable.
That's the reason why I'm writing from my mobile, using my mobile connection.
Now, I don't know if they needed to disconnect something in the attic while they were working and maybe forgot to connect it back, or if they actually damaged something that will need fixing. I'll find that out in the morning.
Not the greatest way to end the day, especially since I still had stuff to do online. And obviously this can't continue, because doing things from the mobile takes me at least a couple times more time, and I can only do some tasks from my mobile effectively.
Overall, a great day, but I certainly don't like the ending. Let's hope it's nothing serious with the internet, and they either accidentally or by choice interrupted it until tomorrow since we weren't around to have an issue with that, so they can easier work in that area.
Everything will become clear in the morning.
