As some of you know I've been having some problems with my contact lenses lately. I've had to wear a pair of glasses for about a week. I purchased them from EyeBuyDirect and I received them for a very good deal.
$89 for high index plastic lenses with all the bells and windows. 1.74 thickness.

Very nice.
When they arrived in the mail I wasn't sure that they would be all that they were cracked up to be. $89 is a very cheap price because I was given the price of $250 at Walmart and something like $240 at our local eyeglass dealer.
I've been wearing them for 6 days now and I really like them. This is the first pair of glasses I've ever had that feels very similar to wearing contacts because they're so comfortable and prescription is so right on target.
+1 to EyeBuyDirect!
I was having lunch with my mother today and she was complimenting them as well. Overall, what a great deal they are and they look amazing as well.
As I was showing her the bridge of the glasses I noticed a small crack. That's strange I thought. I don't remember that crack being there just an hour ago.
When I got home I realized now there are two cracks. Before I had a chance to look for a third the glasses had completely snapped in half.
Well that sucks. I was really enjoying those glasses. It's true that wearing glasses makes everything look a little bit smaller. Contact lenses are probably a more comfortable experience, but as I said, I really liked those glasses.
I contacted EyeBuyDirect and they're going to send me a new pair because these are still under warranty. That's a good thing.
I asked if a new pair was going to break easily and they said their glasses don't break easily as long as you aren't rough with them. I wasn't with these though.
I think I'm going to have to go buy a new pair of glasses from a local eyeglass dealer and just have two pairs. It's pretty frustrating especially considering that for whatever reason my eyes are having a problem wearing contact lenses lately.
I guess it's one thing after another.
Broken glasses, broken hearted.
