I have given up thinking how long we have been in isolation for, my memory is all mixed up, is it 4 weeks or have we done 5, its all to much to cope with. Why couldn't this have been through the Winter, it would have felt like we were all hibernating.
Today i didn't get up early as hubby was watching golf on the TV, i wasn't going to sit through that so had a few extra hours sleep. When i got up the sun was shining through my window, it was lovely and warm, when i got downstairs my cat deterrent had arrived so i got straight on to getting it set up. I was expecting it to be easy to assemble but with me being so clumsy i dropped it so many times, then got one part stuck into my thumb so now have my first 2020 gardening injury, there will be many more. After getting my injury i then thought maybe i should have worn gardening gloves, i also asked hubby to come give me a hand.
I straightened the spiky deterrent out then saw it had little rods that i had to break of that you attach and stick into the soil to keep it in place, now i think about it i should have read the instructions before trying. Me and hubby got it laid out then covered it with soil. The cats wont get injured they will just get a shock when they start digging. Hopefully this works then i can get a few seeds planted.

My garden is starting to look more awake, the Lavender is blooming with little purple buds, the roses have lots of buds. I think the sun has fooled the garden into thinking its Summer, i hope the weather doesn't change meaning this will be a lovely long colourful Summer.
Once i had finished in the garden hubby gave me a hand to clean up my poorly thumb, it was only a small hole but was bleeding quite a bit, he cleaned it then put a lovely Blue plaster on for me, whilst telling me how stupid i was when i had 2 new pairs of garden gloves to use. Typical me, very impatient.

I finished off in the garden then noticed the planter in my front garden needed cutting back, now i have cleaned up it will have to wait until tomorrow, i can sit on the wall and cut it back that is if the weather hasn't changed.
I spent the rest of the day online catching up with my surveys then at 7pm it was time for my Saturday game of Bingo, i haven't won for ages, i was still hoping for a little win, thankfully i won a full house for £64, that will give my Christmas savings a boost. I then went back into the garden as the plants must have been gasping for a drink of water with how warm it was, i watered all my plants then its time for bed. I now look forward to the next day as i can get more done in the garden. I want it sorted as much as possible so me and hubby can sit out there through the day waiting for this virus to be controlled, might as well get a suntan whilst waiting, better than watching dull TV.
In bed i have my Alexa playing Elvis Presley whilst i sing along. I love Elvis, everything about him, the man of my dreams, especially in the photo below.. Drooling,
