HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE ♥️
I've been busy again, after getting back from my weekend away with my granddaughter then having to get Mika back to the Vets for more tests, that was last Monday and still waiting for the results, I am now dealing with a very nasty cough which was probably due to me having the fan focused on my head whilst I was sleeping for 2 nights. I had to try and cope with it as had another trip back to my granddaughters for her birthday.
I wish I was younger and fitter especially for my granddaughter, its not much fun watching others being able to get on the floor or chase after her at the park, I want to do that.
We had a lovely meal out thankfully my granddaughter sat between me and her other nana most of the time we were out, We both shared helping her eat something, we both got so many hugs and lots of memories were made with loads of photos. She makes life worth living again, she has such a beautiful soul and is so caring, she doesn't like you worrying about her when she hurts herself, she says, Don't worry Nana I'll be better soon. She makes my heart swell, I've never felt a love like it, having your own is beautiful but being able to stand back and watch your granddaughter grow is an honour.
I'm now home dealing with this cough still, its keeping me awake at night and disturbing hubby, I have Asthma and take inhalers but they aren't really helping at the moment. I'm having very short naps inbetween the coughing fits.
We are back to worrying about Mika, we are waiting for the results from her tests, The Vet thinks it's Cushings diseases, Mika has all the symptoms. Today she was sick, Mika is never sick so something is up, we think it's the medication she is taking GABAPENTIN, she's supposed to take 1 every 12 hours but think maybe they are starting to affect her so cutting down to 1 dose at midnight to give her a good night's sleep, I'll phone the Vets again on Monday, hopefully the results will be back plus I'll tell them about reducing her medication, Im not having her being sick bless her she has enough to contend with.
Once we get the results back they will be able to put her on the correct medication for the illness, we think it's going to be Steroids for the rest of her life, the quicker she's on the correct medication the quicker she can Relax and enjoy what time we have left together. She's not allowed to go anywhere yet. We will nene be ready for that.
I've had a day relaxing wuth my pups, hubbys doing the shopping for us whilst I rest. I would be a mess walking around shopping, I would be having numerous coughing fits. I have been lucky over the last few years as haven't had many cold, no where near the amount I used to get. Anyway I'm of for another nap before they get home.
