HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE
I an really angry and frustrated at the moment. We have been going through so many tests with my pup Mika as she hasn't been to good. She's 14, slowing down, drinking so much water, peeing more and not reaching the grass, she's up so night panting even when it's not warm. We though its time to get her looked over.
Our first visit to the Vets we met a Vet who we haven't dealt with before, as soon as we told her Mikas symptoms the Vet said it sounds like heart failure, her words, well she is 14. Then after doing a few checks on her she them said its possibly Cancer. If we had Listened to her we may have considered what she was hinting at. Mika then had to go through scans and more tests to be told she may have Cushings disease, she had all the symptoms so that's what we were expecting. We have been waiting a week for the latest results to get back to us, they phoned today to tell us Mikas tests are all clear, there is nothing wrong with her, We are expecting another phone call next week from the Vet as she's on holiday, she will go over it all in more depth.
Once the Vet has called us to update about the tests and what's next Im going to phone back and ask to speak to someone in charge. I'm going to complain about the Vet and her first diagnosis, I'm also going to complain about what they are going to charge my insurance company as if they had done the blood tests properly at first Mika wouldn't have needed to have the scans, They would have found out there was nothing wrong without having to go through 2 scans costing £600 each. We have been with this company for years, usualy they are on the ball. I think this new Vet needs some training on not jumping up conclusions and not to scare the owners with a diagnosis until thru know for sure.
Mika has had a lot more attention over the last few weeks, I think Luna has picked up on it and been a little jealous as she's been incredibly needy. She's followed me around everywhere and slept so close to me and been extra clingy to hubby and my daughter.
She was pushed right into my back looking sorry for herself, I then went in the shower,, she was waiting for me as I have to lie down as the shower can take it out of me, she then jumped on my knee again.
I do like the extra attention from her, its lovely to feel wanted, sadly today she's back to being the little annoying leg humping black pup that loves to wind me up. Its good to know Mika isn't ill but now we have to accept its old age.
