So I went out today to get some mobile accessories and decided to stop at a restaurant to get some lunch. Having went through a relatively hot day, I was really craving for some iced drinks to cool me down. The restaurant I visited was Flamingo Boom, a Hong Kong styled “cafe” that served typical chinese food. The environment was pretty alright, but they provided me with air-conditioning and that was all that mattered to me.
I invited a friend over who was working nearby to join me at lunch, knowing that he’d be at break at that hour. We then ordered a “Cham Beng” (Iced tea+coffee) and a “Teh Beng” (Iced Milk Tea) to refresh ourselves. Drinks tasted pretty good, actually; Having been to Hong Kong, the Milk Tea Flamingo Boom serves actually represents well the authentic taste that is Hong Kong Milk Tea.
I was the only one of us two to have ordered food, I got myself a nice cheese baked pork chop rice. The food wasn’t astoundingly impressive, yet it didn’t give any sense of disappointment after trying it - Just a normal Hong Kong styled baked rice. The bills were quite cheap for a place with above standards, overall quite happy with my visit at this restaurant. Will definitely come back for more of their Iced Milk Tea!
