At the fourth step you stumbled a little. You were totally falling, but you regained your balance. After the fifth we waited a long time. I thought you were not going to go forward, but you'd stay there. You have not moved for nearly two months. It was cold to you, and there came rains that mingled with the tears you held in your heart, because you were afraid to send them over my soul. Oamenii trec. Trec pe drumul nostru chiar dacă indicatorul spune că e drum înfundat. Unii se încumetă şi merg aproape până la capăt. Alţii renunţă după 5 metri. Virează maxim stânga şi dintr-o mişcare ajung exact în punctul din care au pornit. Nu se mai uită înapoi.
Ai ajuns şi tu. Ai stat multă vreme în capătul străzii şi nu ai ştiut dacă să intri sau nu. Nu prea aveai de ce să faci pasul acesta, fiindcă destinaţia îţi era alta, iar drumul prin mine nu te-ar fi dus acolo. Ai făcut primul pas, l-ai făcut şi pe-al doilea, din inerţie a venit şi-al treilea. Au fost paşi uşori pentru că nu am pus gropile şi bolovanii chiar la intrarea în sufletul meu.
M-am gândit că nu trebuie să le arăt tuturor trecătorilor cât de accidentat sunt şi de câte petice aş avea nevoie ca să fiu un drum uşor circulabil. Poate dacă aş fi fost aşa, ca o carte deschisă, mulţi ar fi început să meargă pe poteca sufletului meu doar din ambiţie. Ar fi vrut să-şi demonstreze că pot să facă faţă unei provocări mari, unor gropi din care e posibil să nu mai iasă şi unor grămezi de pietre care i-ar fi făcut să se împiedice de sute de ori şi să se ridice de vreo zece ori mai mult. Oamenii devin ambiţioşi când vine vorba de a le arăta altora cât de mult pot duce, dar eu am vrut ca drumul să fie parcurs din iubire, cu iubire.
La al patrulea pas te-ai poticnit puţin. Era să cazi cu totul, dar ţi-ai recăpătat echilibrul. După al cincilea am aşteptat mult timp. Credeam că nu o să mai înaintezi, ci că o să rămâi acolo. Nu te-ai mişcat aproape două luni. Ţi-a fost frig şi au venit ploi care se amestecau cu lacrimi pe care le ţineai în inima ta, fiindcă îţi era frică să le verşi peste sufletul meu. N-ai vrut să-mi arăţi că eşti vulnerabila sau să mă întristez din cauza tristeţii tale.
L-ai făcut şi pe al şaselea, dar ţi-a fost teamă că o să te afunzi în groapa care era în faţa ta. Era locul în care am îngropat amintirile celor care au renunţat la jumătatea drumului, a oamenilor care au plecat devreme şi mi-au ucis puţin câte puţin din speranţă. Am lăsat groapa neastupată ca să-mi fie mai uşor să arunc amintirile acolo când cineva face cale-ntoarsă. Îmi doream să nu fie la fel şi cu tine. Îmi doream să ai un pas atât de mare încât să sari peste spaţiul acela negru, fără ca măcar să fi simţit vreun pic de frică. Ai sărit!
Pasul care ducea către al şaptelea a fost cel mai greu pentru tine. Ţi-ai tras sufletul după grozava săritură de dinainte şi ai cercetat drumul. Nu se vedea nimic frumos înainte. Mi-ai spus că ai obosit şi chiar dacă vrei să mergi mai departe, nu mai poţi. Ţi-am spus să pleci, fiindcă nici peste câteva luni nu o să te simţi mai odihnita. E de-aşa natură vremea în sufletul meu, că te oboseşte chiar şi numai dacă stai. Soarele-i prea soare, iar ploaia n-a fost niciodată caldă, ci se transformă direct în furtună cu tunete şi fulgere.
În faţa ta stătea un deal. Era dealul regretelor mele. Nu mă-ntreba de ce l-am pus tocmai acolo sau de ce e atât de mare. Nu ţi-am pus la poalele lui nici bocanci, nici mănuşi de protecţie. Nu ţi-am pus nimic, dar ţi-am zis că undeva în vârf sau pe partea cealaltă, te aşteaptă inima mea. Ai zis că te-ncumeţi şi că o să reuşeşti să duci bătălia asta până la capăt. Te-ai întâlnit prima dată cu regretul pe care scria: „Am zâmbit prea puţin necunoscuţilor”. Ciudat… când m-ai văzut prima dată, m-ai văzut zâmbind. Mi-ai lăsat un bileţel „Asta-i o minciunică gogonată”. Îţi iese în întâmpinare un ceas pe care scria „Mi-am făcut prea puţin timp ca să ascult, să înţeleg şi să preţuiesc oamenii”. Te-ai enervat. Asta îţi plăcea cel mai puţin la mine. Că vorbeam cu oricine, fie cunoscut sau necunoscut. Că le ştiam problemele, visurile şi mă frământam toată noaptea ca să găsesc soluţii. Ai spart ceasul şi mi-ai scris din cioburi „Poate îţi faci timp să trăieşti puţin şi pentru tine. Ascultă-te, înţelege-te şi preţuieşte-te!”.
După multă vreme, aproape de vârful dealului, vine şi „Am iubit prea puţin într-o viaţă destul de lungă”. Deja erai sleit de puteri, iar nervii îţi erau întinşi la maxim. Te-ai aşezat lângă regretul meu şi atunci ţi-a scăpat prima lacrimă. Ţi-ai făcut curaj şi le-ai lăsat şi pe celelalte să curgă. Mi-ai scris cu lacrimile tale: „Iubeşte-mă pe mine mai mult decât ai iubit pe oricine altcineva şi vom trăi împreună fără regrete”.
Te-am ascultat şi m-am topit de câtă iubire am simţit că pot să ofer. Dealul pe care erai aşezat s-a transformat în câmpie şi ţi-am scris „Nu mai trebuie să faci niciun pas de unul singur. Oricâte pietre şi gropi mai există pe cărarea sufletului meu, vreau să le depăşim împreună. De astăzi înainte inima mea îţi aparţine”. Ai citit şi ţi-a răsărit un zâmbet între buze. Ce frumos zâmbeai.
Am făcut primul pas împreună, mâinile mele se odihneau în palma ta stângă, fiindcă îmi era frică să te ţin numai cu una. Nu voiam să pleci. Niciodată, nicăieri.
Cândva, ca să arăt că nu sunt egoist, am construit o stradă la dreapta şi semnul arăta un sens unic. Dedesubt am scris „Plecarea nu mai are drum de întoarcere”. Am uitat de ea şi aş fi vrut să o distrug, dar a fost prea târziu. De obosita ce-ai fost, de drumul greu pe care l-ai parcurs, aveai nevoie de un răgaz. Ţi-ai asumat riscul acesta şi-ai zis că vrei să mergi, fiindcă acum nu mai poţi înainta. Te-am înţeles, pentru că drumul meu nu prea avea flori, podoabe şi miros de linişte. În mine era veşnic gălăgie, iar ţie-ţi plăcea liniştea. Te-am privit cum pleci. Mai văd uneori umbra ta, dar doar în mintea mea, fiindcă strada care cotea la dreapta am distrus-o. Sunt egoist şi nu mai vreau plecări neanunţate.
Acum stau din nou la intrarea pe strada sufletului. Aştept să văd dacă te-ntorci, dar cred că ştii că trebuie s-o iei de la capăt. Acelaşi drum, dar cu gropi mai mari şi cu dureri mai aprinse. O luptă mai cruntă decât cea pe care ai dus-o înainte.
Dacă te-ntorci, trebuie să ştii că nu mai ai pe unde să pleci. Iar dacă nu eşti sigur că vrei asta, mai bine nu veni.
