Researchers say, yoga exercises increase the effectiveness of physical exercise and improves patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). For the study, 60 COPD patients were selected in two parts on the basis of diarrhea. Next, a group is taught yoga exercises. The rest of the group was included in the 'Pulmonary Rehabilitation' program. Then the progress of healing their disease was observed. In this, the benefits of yoga exercise and pulmonary rehabilitation are proven to improve lung function.
Participants are given various seats, pranayama, meditation and relaxation training. The researchers say that their lung performance increases significantly.
