Iftaar is the evening meal with which muslims end their day long fast, it is taken just before the sunset. During Islam’s holy month of Ramadan, believers abstaining from food and drink during daylight hours, break their fast with the iftar evening meal.
The month of Ramadan is celebrated with great joy, and iftar dinners play a big part in this.
Mostly muslims open their fast by taking date or water. Iftaar is often done as a community, with people gathering to break their fast together.
Yesterday,i had my iftaar at my cousins home where the meals varied from simple plate of dates to a variety of cooked delicious dishes.I was too much excited to have iftar with my cousin and other family members.She had prepared eveything which i love to eat,I was too happy and excited for everything,that the whole day passed and I didn’t feel hungry and thirsty. Markets sell various foods for iftar, including the date, which is popular, as well as unique and are mostly experienced durimg ramadan
Preparations for iftar commence about 3 hours before, in homes and at roadside stalls.
