If you read my previous story or follow me, you should remember the sad story of me losing my first corgi, Clementine from a bad relationship. I took that loss quite hard, and it's been hard not being able to see her at all.Well have big news..... I got another girl!
Her name is Penelope. I just got her in early February. I received her at eight weeks. She's a lil bit naughty, but what puppy isn't? She's very much loved by everyone in my family, even though she likes to steal our shoes, my socks, and my shirts..... and sleep on them.
When she isn't doing that, she will be peeing everywhere, thankfully not from excitement. This got her the nickname "peepee". It's a little over exaggerating, she has gotten much better over time. She can hold her bladder over night now.Still the occasional accidents though.
And, of course she sleeps. What puppy doesn't? Full of energy one minute, and the next she crashes. They are just like kids, I swear. You pray for the moment they fall alseep. Like a infant, you have to watch them like a hawk .
As of today, she is now a lil over 12 weeks. She gained 4 pounds, up to 12 pounds now.Her ears still haven't gone up yet. We feed her yogurt or cottage cheese for calcium, something that helps with her ears. Teething uses calcium apparently, so she needs all the calcium she can get. My breeder also suggested to start taping her ears, so I'm weighing the idea. It's not the same as cropping, and is literally what it sounds like.( If you have experience with taping, leave a comment!)
I look forward watching her grow, and making her part of my bear bear family. :)
Thanks for reading! If you like what you see, leave a comment below! I'll continue to document her growth.
