My grandma would always say to me, “Don’t worry, bad things always happen in threes. If you aren’t included in the set of threes, then you are blessed.”
Well, it must be my turn now.
First, the issue with my husband not getting paid for October work until 11/15/2017 is still happening. He is driving an hour to the headquarters this afternoon where he can talk to Payroll about this (and not have it happen again).
Second, I arrived at work and heard that we would not be receiving our Christmas bonus this year. Normally, this would be okay - just extra to help buy Christmas gifts. But now, with my husband’s paycheck issues, that would have been a help for us.
Third, got some unexpected news about a family member. It totally shocked and saddened me, especially from the last holiday that we saw each other.
But instead of feeling depressed and sorry for myself, I am making a different decision.
I choose to look for the blessings instead of seeing the problems.
The money situations are a wake up call for me to step up more with my side business. I cannot allow mistakes and setbacks to stop forward progress. I can’t even allow my schedule to stop me from getting things accomplished. It’s a blessing that I have this business and the opportunity to rise up higher than before.
The family situation is showing me that I need to be more connected to what’s happening within the family (outside of my husband and my mom). I need to touch base with my aunts and uncles more often to show them some love.
There are blessings in every problem.
Choose to see those while dealing with the tough issues.
Because...
you
are
truly
blessed.
