Sometimes words just aren't enough.
We're about to have a look at some strange images. Each one has a story. Rather than going back to look for the discussion that caused each of these images to happen, I'm going to attempt to base it all on memory. Sometimes my memory isn't the best, so bear with me. If I screw something up, that's what comment sections are for.
These works of "art" were rushed and never intended to be amazing nor awe-inspiring or even good for that matter. Something was said, which in turn triggered something within my head, and these are just a few of the results.
Enjoy.

Once upon a time, @onceuponatime joked about how if my eyes are failing, they should be sent to boot camp. I can't remember the precise context and I don't want to go back and read. The image above was my response. He's a very sharp, quick witted man. I'm no slouch in that department, some days. Other days, I'm an idiot. If there's one guy here who's able to catch me off guard more often than not, it's @onceuponatime.
Thank you for the memories.

The other day, @therealpaul was feeling generous. He gave me a fancy blue rectangle with the word "Winner" written on it. I had never won anything before and wasn't sure what to do with it, so I asked him if it was supposed to go in the dishwasher then showed him the image above. He was impressed, jokingly called it art and I think insisted it be hung up on the wall.

Unfortunately, I didn't know how to do that either, so I propped it up there the best I could and called it a day.
Thanks for the memories.

By looking at this image, I'm reminded of the time @daveks asked me to send some snow his way. Since nothing is impossible within this mind of mine, I got down to work as soon as I could. I still insist the plan would have worked. What do you folks think?
Thanks for the memories.
After these messages, we'll be right back.
Welcome Back
@dreemit, does this look familiar?

I remember a post of hers where she shared a few photos. We were talking about how the dark shots are hard to take and she wasn't 100% confident with how they turned out. I knew there would be more hidden behind the darkness, so I started to play around. Where I come from, a dark sky at night can be rare, so I added a little something extra just for effect. She was not expecting this image. She didn't even know I was working on it the entire time we were talking. I think I blew her mind that day.
Thanks for the memories.

I found this image in the comment folder as well. I'm not sure if I ever shared this one in a standalone post. It's much older than the signature states. I never used to sign my art. I rarely use pink. This was probably the first digital image I ever produced using these colors. It comes from a time when I'd just push color around for something to do. Back then, I never imagined I'd be here today, showing off art, to an incredible group of people. I'd share them from time to time on Facebook and claim that one day I'd be selling this stuff. I think they all just thought I was drunk.
Thanks for the memories, self.

Though it's tempting, you will never see me place this under an actual shit post. You may see it under mine when I realize I probably should have put more thought into whatever it was I just did before I pressed that post button though. It is tempting to place it under a friend's post but others who come along might not realize I'm joking. It's best to just leave this be. If you ever feel like using it, go right ahead. If you use it to be mean though, don't speak to me. It's meant to be fun!
Thanks for the shitty memories!

Scary, right? @sift666 is an incredibly unique individual. The man has no filter. He does not care if you think he's an oddball. Anytime you receive a message from him, it will include an image. These images are not for the faint of heart, in most cases. Since I'm never one to back down from a challenge and since he was having so much fun blasting me about liking baboons, I was left with no choice but to monkey around with one of his monkey pics. I look forward to playing the next round of friendly one-upmanship with that crazy mother fuh... cool guy.
Thank you, for the memories.

That's Steemson. I was speaking with @surfermarly about Steemfest and how the only way I'd be able to afford travelling there was if I boarded an iceberg and started paddling. I mean, that's how we do it in Canada. Everyone knows that. Anyway, one thing led to the next. We agreed it would be a long, boring trip and I'd need something to keep myself entertained. She suggested Wilson, the only friend Tom Hanks had when he was Castaway. From that we get Steemson and a legend was born.
Thanks for the memories.

Something caught my eye one night while scrolling along the new feed here on Steemit. It was new member, reputation 25. First post, I think. I opened the package and inside was a question. "If there's anyone out there, give me a sign." That was all it said. I obliged. I never got a response. I hope they knew I was only joking and I had made that image just for them and that occasion. Most folks skipped over that post. That day, I just wanted a new member who was feeling lost to feel welcome instead. I hope you're doing well, whoever you are.
Thanks for the memories.

There he is. The most famous superhero ever invented on Steemit. This Man. Every now and again he'll make an appearance and when he does, it's special. He once challenged @lordvader and survived. He used to show up on a few introduceyourself posts as well. This changed, unfortunately. You see, This Man, he thinks the ladies love him. There were a few times(it was every time) he'd get completely burned. No response. His greetings fell on deaf ears. Those people probably thought he was weird. This Man still gets a kick out of it, but can't handle such rejection. This Man already knows he lives inside a land of teachers, scientists, computer type people that code stuff using their brains, day traders, masters of the universe and everyone else who thinks they're normal. This Man does not want to cross your lines. Just know, if you ever need a helping hand or maybe just a morale boost, This Man will always be there in your corner.
Thank you, for the memories.
To Conclude
There are more images out there, somewhere. If I sent one your way at some point and you remember, feel free to drop it in the comments and tell your story.
Some members of our community like to write up guidelines and not necessarily dictate but coach others on Steemit etiquette. Many folks seem to agree that a long, well thought out comment/essay deserves the gold stamp of approval. For me, as someone who prefers to just chill, shoot the shit and enjoy the time I get on this planet... I'll probably never be able to meet those standards. I have difficulty explaining what I mean sometimes anyway so if you don't mind, may I just draw you a picture?
Have a nice day.
