The fast approaching Great American Total Eclipse (Monday, August 21st) is getting a lot of buzz in the media. Because of the web, this celestial event is gaining more attention from the average person than past total eclipses. I see this is a great thing!
Even though most will treat this as a star gazing event, it will generally cause people to be more "conscious" of these celestial energies and their relationship to them. I'm fortunate enough to be a 1.5 hour drive away from being able to view the total eclipse in it's entirety in northern Georgia. Me and some friends are taking the trip so expect a dope post covering that day.
Anyone who's already privy to this information (astrologists, meta-physicists, scientists, shamans, etc.) is aware of the amazing energies that are generated by total eclipses. Our ancestors were aware of this, hence solar eclipses being documented in Ancient Egypt and also found on clay tablets in Ancient Mesotopamia.
Past civilizations were very in tune with the solar system and took heed to the power of an event such as a total eclipse. In most instances these solar events were looked at as omens and many times lead to drastic change, good or bad, in the order of things. Empires have risen and fallen following solar eclipses.
If you've been following me for a while you know here & there I speak on the power of full moons and how it relates to us. The influence of the moon on not just the Earth, but all its inhabitants is indisputable at this point. One quick obvious fact that displays this is the affect that the moon has on the tides of the ocean, which can be processed simply as an effect on water.
We humans are typically composed of 70-75% water, roughly the same as the Earth. Studying metaphysics and universal principles such as "As above so below, as within so with out", does the math for me. The Gaia Theory also follows this train of though. I don't need science to tell me (even though it does) the moon has the same affect on the tides as the water that flows within us. It's no coincidence that crime, accidents and injuries increase at an obvious rate on full moons. These are usually cases where individuals are falling victim to the energy instead of being conscious of it and taking advantage.
With a total eclipse on the horizon these full moon energies will increase at an exponential rate. Like I said before, you can either take advantage of these energies or fall victim to them. Whatever your method(s) is for manifesting what you want, now is the time to put it into practice.
If you don't know where to start some common, proven methods for manifesting what you want are meditation, mantras, the law of attraction, vision boards, prayer, and positive affirmations. Performing these exercises prior to the solar eclipse and putting focus on them during should really bring your manifestations into fruition. In this time it is said that veil between the physical and spiritual world becomes extremely thin.
I won't dive too deep into my metaphysical bag but I will give one correspondence between this event and our human existence. The sun is considered the "divine" or "extreme" masculine and the moon the feminine. This can be looked at as :
Sun
- positive charge (+)
- represents fire
- physical
- all male species
Moon
- negative charge (-)
- represents water
- spiritual
- all female species
There are some interpretations of these energies that argue the sun is masculine and the moon feminine. Knowing that all things have masculine and feminine qualities I don't dispute there is some truth to that. But my base understanding complies with the examples I gave above.
When the moon completely covers the sun and these energies "come together in union" August 21st, it will release an energy that "coincidentally" runs coast to coast in the U.S.. Northwest to southeast to be exact. Something to also keep in mind is the fact that as rare as total eclipses are, there will be another in 7 years (2024), in America again...only this time it travels from Northeast to Southwest. This will literally make an "X" of total eclipse energy engulfing the U.S. in the near future. I cant make this stuff up.
There are many researchers who believe this "X" will mark the end of the confederacy (see image below) and a new start in the direction of politics in America.
In closing I'll say I hope everyone who believes in the law of attraction takes advantage of the coming "Great American Total Eclipse" to plant some seeds and produce some good energies. If you don't believe in these type of energies I advise you to do some (unbiased) homework.
