As they celebrate Halloween here in the United States, my mind shifts to costumes, masks, secret identities, deception, trickery, evil. Concepts that play major roles throughout the alternative history of WWII. I say "alternative" because mainstream accounts cut ultra clear lines as to who the bad guys and good guys were. However, as always, a dive down the rabbit hole reveals a much more complex plot with a seemingly open ending.
