Hello everyone!, today I will talk about a topic that for me is of great importance to walk and overcome the obstacles in our life with security and self-esteem; the dignity and pride.
Some people consider pride as something negative, something that goes hand in hand with arrogance, and I think that's not the case. A little pride, it is not bad because we all have a value, it is not worth going for life with low self-esteem, without considering ourselves of relative importance (without coming to believe that we are the center of the world); everything in excess is bad, so exaggerate with this if it can make us lose opportunities and people of great value ... I believe that pride as well as being a virtue can also be a double-edged sword, because we can become beings that do not recognize their errors, obstinate with deaf ears before other opinions and alternatives.
Speaking of self-love to a large extent ... What about people who are completely lacking in self-esteem and dignity?
I have seen a lot (without saying every day) people who really do not mind diminishing as a person to obtain their triumphs or goals. Whether at work, in college, in personal life, they do not give themselves that value that makes us full beings in life, they simply prefer to opt for the easy way to be the famous licks boots of superiors, all to get what who want, without having a bit of shame. I think you can have respect and courtesy to superiors or professors, but to get to the point of being a little slave, a constant beggar, I think that is not the right thing to do and I prefer a thousand times to go the difficult way.
They are like those who support the government party here in Venezuela: they have almost nothing to eat, they do not have so many comforts and they are the first to blindly support them in spite of all the problems, all for an apartment, for a miserable card or a CLAP bag ... It's really sad, because it's good to want to take advantage of the opportunities that come our way but to come to defend them, justify and hide their mistakes just because you have been given something, friend, for me it's an act of complete mediocrity.
