I just listened to a news story about two planes colliding on the tarmac in Toronto, Canada. The news story featured an on board recording made when the passengers noticed the flames emerging from the collision.
- Female voices screaming were prominent.
From a survival perspective screaming doesn’t seem to add much value to the situation. Other than perhaps to bring attention to the obvious. - Young girls at playgrounds seem to also use the same type of ear piercing scream when they play and tease each other. I sometimes have to cover my ears because it’s so loud.
- My personal reactiontion to sudden pain like banging my finger with a hammer, is to curse out loud - even when there is no one around who can hear. It’s just seems to bring relief.
Maybe that is WHY?
PS: No passengers were seriously hurt in this incident, but clearly was a tense situation.
