I haven't been posting on Steemit very much recently, but I have an excellent reason: I am visiting my sister for a week! It is my chance to escape the demands of my normal life, the moods of my aging husband, and this time I also missed out on 4" of snow. One might think I'd have extra time to write while on vacation, but we have too many other fun pastimes.

We've watched movies we like, and Netflix shows we both enjoy. With her assistance, I've begun another knitting project. (I'm still a beginner!) And I've been reading my 1971 diary, sharing bits and snatches of it with my sister, and wondering if I can somehow turn parts of it into a story.
Yesterday afternoon we drove to the National Bison Range at Moiese, Montana, about half an hour away from my sister's house. It was cloudy and there was a stiff, chilly breeze, but I got out of the car to take lots of pictures for Steemit. I used my real camera, not my cell phone, so I'd at least have proper zoom capability, and then discovered I didn't bring along the cord to connect my camera to my computer. Oops. So that post will have to wait! I only took one photo on my cell phone, so will post that now, as a sneak preview of things to come.

This bison is minding its own business over by the fence. The ever-spectacular Mission Mountains are in the background.
