Life may have disappeared in Proxima B, the other planet that has the closest possibility of life to Earth. Proxima B, which rotates in the orbit of Proxima Centauri, has been following scientists for years. The planet, about 4.5 light years away from Earth and thought to be living on it, was exposed to the high radiation radiated by Proxima Centauri.
It was emphasized that in March of 2017 the brightness of Proxima Centauri increased and that it destroyed all life in Proxima B if it were alive. Proxima Centauri glowed 10 times more than the Sun and made Proxima b in orbit uninhabitable.
According to the scientists, Proxima B does not exist if water is present, thanks to the increased brightness of the star. In short, known life forms can no longer be sheltered in Proxima B.
