Poverty
I was sitting on a chair on the balcony when something stuck in my head, it is a captivating thought. I had to put the plate of food in front of me aside, picked up my phone and scrolled to my notepad, the topic hitting my brain is poverty, I need to ask my self this question.
Poverty: is it something people really want or it happens to them by chance. If I could recollect when I was celebrating my 18th birthday I promised myself to be a rich man before the age of 30, and never to be emotional towards any lady because I read a book where the author stated that a person aspiring for real success must not make women a priority. I am not okay yet but I believe it will be okay in the end.
Why are some poor and some rich, there is something I observed about the poor, some seem to be satisfied with their condition, they believe that is what they are destined to be and they even device means to live by it, it makes me shed tears.
Is poverty self-imposed or a curse by nature? is it proper for some to suffer and some to live in affluence?. I know some who are poor and not making any effort to change their status. I also know some who are striving but all their effort ends in futility.
What are the efforts the world governments are making to curb poverty or this is how we are going to be forever? Is poverty the tool the government use in taming us? I need an answer. whenever I move around town, I see government reserve area where things are well planned and I visit some places that are synonymous to slump, where the life and well being of its inhabitant are not better off that of a pig. Are the world leaders really happy with poverty?.
Who will help the poor since the government and nature have denied them? Some religion will even tell you it a sin to be rich, they say money is the root of evil and it difficult for the rich to make heaven. I blow up whenever I hear people say this. Poverty is the root of all evil, there is nothing good in being deprived all the necessities of life.
We are segregating within ourselves, the school attended by the poor is a mushroom compared to the ones attended by the rich wards. Is poverty what should be some people's birthright, why does the child of the poor have to struggle to attain a great height in life.
Let help ourselves, let's love ourselves, help the unprivileged people around. The rich man will see the marriage to a poor as a taboo and we claim we are human. The white man will call a black man a person from a poverty-infested country, is that why we are here. See every human as being equal. If you ignore it, it might come back as a serpent to hunt you. I believe the insecurity of the world is due to the negligence and greed of the human inhabiting the world.
Socialism and capitalism, these two terms I don't know the one that will bring the people together most, I think one is based on individualism and the other has a compounding effect. let's wish the best for our fellow human, wild animals had stopped eating us, let's stop eating ourselves.
