Hello steemians!
Some times ago, i wrote about dreams. In that piece, i looked at human aspirations, the goals they set for themselves. I advised that we should not only dream (aspire) but put those things in action and work towards actualizing them.

Today, i will be looking at dreams from another angle. I will be discussing with us that which we have while sleeping. The experiences or pictures we have whenever we sleep or try take a nap.
While some of us have these pictures when we take a nap, some people have not for once had this experience. That is, some people don't have dreams!
Dreams occur anytime during sleep. Most dreams occur during deep sleep called REM (Rapid Eye Movement). This happens when the brain is most active. The activities of the brain during this process of dreaming often resemble that of being awake. So it is hard to differentiate being awake from sleeping.
I still don't know why English language differentiates nightmares from dreams. These experiences are the same since we only have them when we sleep. It is funny that the one that appears scary is called nightmare while the other that is not is called dream. This, I believe, is just language. The experiences are practically the same.
Growing up, i attended C&S (Cherubim & Seraphim) white garment church where dreams are not taken lightly. All dreams according to the white garment people have interpretations.
They have books that interpret dreams with Bible verses backings, the prayers to pray and the things to do (which sometimes involves buying candles, coconuts, oil, etc.). When you have dreams about scorpions, snakes, lions, money, etc., they believe they are bad dreams and they mean bad things.
Also for them, anybody who does not dream is practically 'non-human'. They believe God speak with people through dreams and believe that everybody must dream.

Now to do main reason i decided to write on this topic today.
As an individual, i do not see any spirituality attached to it. In fact, i will appreciate it if i don't dream at all. It affects my sleep! It makes it hard to differentiate reality from illusion sometimes because i might actually be dreaming right now. Nothing says all what i'm doing right now is not merely dreams.
Do you believe there is spirituality attached to dreams? Also, can we differentiate dreams from reality? Are you sure you are not dreaming right now?
Do not forget that all dreams are similar to that of reality. So you might probably be sleeping right now by reading this post! What if i never really wrote what you are reading right now? What if it is just a dream?
What if all your certificates are just dreams? What if you have been sleeping for two days and you thought you went to primary, secondary and tertiary?
Is it hard to decide or easy? Is there a way you can prove that you are not sleeping right now? Perhaps, you will drop comment and come back after few hours to see if the comment is on my blog?
What if all of these methods are being done by a sleeping being who thinks he is awake?
Prove to yourself that you are not sleeping right now and that you are truly awake reading this post! Remember also that a sleeping being can also have all these experiences you are currently having.
Looking forward to read your responses.
Thanks for reading. Your boy @smyle the philosopher.
