In this post I won't demonize smokers but rather share my story to hopefully empower others positively and make it easy to go from X to 0 cigarettes a day.
Before telling you how I did it, I want to share my story and background.
First understand your WHY
As a kid my father was a smoker, I remember him on the balcony smoking while enjoying the beautiful view.
This memory of smoking being something pleasurable was completely in contrast to my actual experience of smoking in 2nd grade. My friends found some cigarettes and we hid in the forest to smoke from time to time. The taste was awful and everyone was trying to survive the puffs just to seem tough and cool :D
It was never about the cigarette, but about the social pressure to smoke and while smoking the only wish I had was for it to finally stop...and afterwards all I could think of is whether my parents are going to find out haha
After eventually getting caught I stopped, suffering withdrawals for a while and started back in university again. Both times the reasons were:
- my social life (friends) and
- coping with pressure/stress
The latter became more important with the age and almost entirely replaced the first.
Now, I have finally got rid of it because of a simple method.
And then comes the HOW
You wont find a miracle solution here, but rather the only way I see to stop smoking with ease.
And that is to understand cigarettes are merely a nicotine addiction, no habit, not enjoyment or taste.
Peace be upon Allen Carr for opening my eyes with his book the Easy way to stop smoking.
You might be disappointed about the method...how can a book help me? At the end, it definitely can like tv commercials can lure you into smoking!
I am as surprised as you!
Wish you all the best!
