There are thousands of way to earn money from a blog. I feel very bad when someone first try to earn money by monetizing a blog with google adsense.
In my opinion adsense is one of the worst idea to monetize a blog. It takes six month old domain and a decent amount of visitors to be approved for monetization. But earning from google add is not that much. On average 2.5 million visitors per year on a blog can makes 1000$ per month. It is very hard to get that amount of visitors. But there are other alternatives from where you can earn 10 times than google adsense.
The most profitable way to earn money from a blog is selling own product on blog. From that you will get 100% commission. But this needed a small amount of investment. If it's not possible to invest that much, you can put affiliate link in your site. Amazon, ebays offers 5% to 15% commission on each sell. You just have to drive traffic from your site to site like amazon, ebays . Within 90 days not only that product, but if he buy any other product, you will get your commission.
