Undeveloped talents evaporate.
Unused muscles will waste due to lack of use.
Unused water pollutes.
Unstirred air stagnates.
Unwound clocks stop.
Unused money loses value and ends up as a victim of inflation.
Unused doors close permanently.
Neglecting to use your talents, time or resources for others and yourself will demote, stagnate and eventually ruin you.
Finding out our talents and ability can be a life long process. There is always better in every man.
I did not know I could write anything till I joined steemit. I always knew I had a special way of thinking and analysing life but I didn't think I would be able to put them down in words and organise them into articles that people would want to read into articles that and actually appreciate.
I have to say at first I was a bit bad at it but I got better over time. I think if I can say to myself now that I'm far better than I ever thought I could ever be in terms of being a writer, in terms of creating content that people want to read.
All these thoughts got me thinking what if there are other things that I can be good at but have not tried. What if there are the things I would love doing but have not tested just because I have not ventured into such things I don't know how good I could get.
Whilst all these was going on in my head, I thought this can't be happening to only me.
Some people don't even realise this so they don't go about anything that conventional and stay within their comfort zone.
Take some time to try to learn a new talent. Take some time to develop that little skill you have and you love doing. You just might be great at it, it may bring you more joy and more purpose in life.
Just ignoring your talents and abilities, no matter how great they are, would kill them.
I am very grateful to the steemit community for this platform to share my ideas and the appreciation.
Thank you for reading.
