Anything predestined to put me in a state of tears, sadness and devastation shall never prosper. Wonders they say, shall never end. Today, on my way home from the university, I almost got mobbed by some well dressed hooligans on the expressway.
The story
Three bike conveying two guys each suddenly stopped moving one meter away from where I was and started an aggresive fight between one another — at the scene of their unruly and puzzling behaviour, I don't know what entered me to be cautious and conscious of their subtle trap, lest I become a prey to public robbery. Infact, since I was born, I have never seen this type of sinister trick used in dispossessing people of their possession in Lagos, Nigeria before. LOL.
Favourably for me, something whispered to my inner mind to "cross over to the other side of the road" and preview the sinister move they had in mind to dispossess me of my gadget and wallet. To my greatest surprise, immediately I crossed over to the other side, these idiots who taught they were wise, siezed fighting with one another and resumed their journey like no dispute ever happened.
That was how I evaded their trap, I am so happy right now, because when I saw their dispute, the issue that incited the fight wasn't a big deal — judging from the loud tone and yelling — "one guy on the other bike threw something at the other fellow". Seeing it was a petty issue or probably a misunderstanding, me personally will itch to step in as a peace maker but thank goodness I auto-consciously became a spectator. LOL.
Funny enough, these guys were well dressed, if I hadn't taken a closer look at their hard faces, it would have been impossible for me to read their subtle trap. Now that I'm home safe and sound, I thank God for preventing the heinous act that would have befallen me.
Thanks for reading.
