This is what they do. This is how they wind us up and pit us against each other. While we're on this side or that and disputing each other, we're not disputing what they're doing to all of us.
This is the real deal.
It's not that all these other evils aren't happening, or aren't horrible. It's that none of them so completely enable us to be controlled in every way, from what we say to our kids, to what color tie we wear, to whether we have the will to live another day. When Palantir has aggregated every social media post we ever made, knows where every dollar we earned came from, knows every friend we have and how we met them, when every aspect of our professional, private, and personal lives are known to Palantir, they can use that to extort us to comply with any edict, to psychologically manipulate us with comments on our posts, terrorize us with subliminal imagery playing on our fears.
Anyone that has heard of zersetzung will have a glimpse of how Palantir can use this kind of comprehensive data on each and every American. If you don't know how zersetzung works, you should. It's not a crazy, made up story that secret police in East Germany used networks of informants to compile intimate profiles of dissidents, and then used those details to destroy them utterly. It's a matter of public record. The Stasi would get you fired, slash the tires on your car when you had an urgent meeting or important family affair, seduce your partner and destroy your family, hook your kids on drugs, fake pics of you doing something horribly immoral and send them to your mother, priest, or local newspaper, and more, and worse. Zersetzung is nothing new, but it was all analog back in the day. They could only manage to wreck a few thousand lives with pen and paper records, wiretaps, and human traitors.
Palantir has every modern technology at it's disposal, along with the consolidated records available to every government, corporation, and institution that exists, and can intimately, subtly, do this to everyone at once. They can fake video of you doing anything they want, and drop it in the inbox of anyone that matters to you, anytime they want. We observe that banks are already debanking people for political reasons, that corporations are hiring people without qualifications, and discharging qualified veterans, for political reasons, social media platforms ban, shadow ban, and delete anyone they don't like. All these things work in reverse too. You can be convinced that someone is a hero that saved a puppy, the love interest of your dreams is pining away for you like a parrot for the fjords, or that you won the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes you didn't even know you entered and are fabulously wealthy.
I do not want to live in a society in which people like Peter Thiel have this power. There are Constitutional protections of our privacy, our right to the pursuit of happiness, to free association - and being psychologically manipulated violates our God given rights. The CIA offshoring data collection to Palantir doesn't eliminate our rights. This isn't an overly wrought episode of hand-wringing on my part. Palantir wielding this power is the most terrifying fate I can imagine, and I'm pretty imaginative. I have done a lot of things that most people think are silly to prevent the banks, social media platforms, and corporations from having this kind of data and power over me already, but even I am not immune to zersetzung. No one is. It's gang stalking, gas lighting, and the worst delusions of paranoid schizophrenics actually implemented IRL - to everyone in America, every day, by AI.
We need to fight against Palantir and the threat of permanent subjugation by zersetzung with every means at our disposal, and the first thing we need to do is pay attention to what really matters in the cacophony of distractions that are being imposed on us. I don't use Twatter or Tubeyou. I don't use banks. I try to use goodwill to facilitate transactions to the fullest degree I can already, but if everyone doesn't also do these things, zersetzung can betray not only them, but use people I care about and depend on to do me dirty too. As Ben Franklin famously opined, if we don't hang together we will surely hang separately. This evil is something every one of us should oppose.
What are some ways we can eliminate data that can be collected, salt our data with fake information, and secure our data from such use? What are other things we can do to prevent this from happening? Who should we write, sue, or picket? Where do we draw the line, and how do we defend ourselves when we're all targeted individuals?
