Teaching the OSY or Out-of-School-Youth in our community about Business Mathematics is indeed a big achievement in my part as Instructor in Mathematics especially when they learned effectively.
This volunteer work or serving the community is really difficult but a fulfillment of being a human and a teacher as well.
Seeing the happy faces of OSY during our class give us joy in our heart.
As future educator, I also involved my students in this community service for them to realize and understand the importance of helping other and how fortunate they are that they are in the proper school or in a university studying appropriately and supported by their parents.
I will continue this kind of community service even in the future that I need to retire in my work because for almost 8 years of my involvement in this kind of service and for almost 5 years of being a coordinator and no one takes place of my designation from my colleagues due to bulk of works , documentations, etc. , no one want to accept this kind of volunteer works. This work of mine is free of charge, no added points as coordinator but God gave me this because I have the heart to help people. Someday or in the near future I want to establish a foundation that will help the needy to alleviated their standard of living because I believe that this is my purpose why God gave me this kind of profession even being a teacher was not my dream before. I also want to share to them that I was also like them before, that we belong before to poorest of the poor and it is not a reason that you are poor you cannot achieve your dreams in life just have faith in God and work for that faith you will reach your dreams even in a song it says that it is an impossible dream.
