Google, Amazon, Apple... they all started in garages in California and I think I know why. If you live in Southern California or even around the San Fransisco area, it never really gets too cold. You can do a lot in your garage if you the weather is always pretty nice.
I have learned that the hard way. My office is in my garage, and I love it... when it's warm.

I've built walls and have bookshelves and a carpet and a couple of screens. It is nice. I really like it and it gives me a lot of freedom when the kids are home on winter break with my wife. I can be completely removed and still get work done.
There is only one probem, it has been cold. Real cold.
The average temperature the past week has been below freezing and it was 6 degrees this morning. I'v got two space heaters and a Snuggie and I'm still cold. The fingers take it the worst. It gets harder and harder to type in the cold.
Now I know why there are not garages in Virginia where people create things like Apple. It's too freaking cold in the winter. Most years I can endure, but his year is tough. I'm sticking it through because I like the writing atmosphere in my garage more than I like warmth.
lol
Do you think I'm right? I doubt I am, but thought it made sense.
Where do you like to write? Is it warm?

Hope you have a great week and thank for reading.
