I've approached the topic of Avril Lavigne's death before, so I'm no stranger to exploring alternatives to "the official story" about artists and inconsistencies with tidy official reports. Especially as this pertains to the music / celebrity, I am curious to know the truth.
Often rather than jump to conclusions, I seek some piece of reliable data to draw a reasonable guess at what actually happened. And it is usually a very compelling snippet or examination of a seriously damning piece of evidence that I would come by that helped me to finally say, "Ok, the picture is pretty clear now."
With Chester Bennington's death, which has been filed as a suicide by the police report, I was sort of buying into the "suicide" idea presented by the media. Until I spotted an interview with Mike Shinoda.
So let's start with the media story and the story one of his children and wife stand by. Then we'll talk about Mike, his band mate.
Here's how the official report goes:
Chester was suicidal in the past and without any sign of drugs in his system, completed his autobiography and took his life by hanging himself. He was not drunk, but had a drink. He left behind a loving wife and quite a few kids and tons of loving fans.
At first, I expected to hear about squabbles over contracts and some shenanigans in the media (rock blogs, etc). Marital troubles. Drug abuse. And a big NOPE! on all counts, apparently....
-- Then I came upon Mike Shinoda's interview where he appears to stutter, almost ready to tell the truth, then held back by some agreed-upon story. You'll also note from his eye-accessing cues, he looks to his left and up, which is generally associated with imagining an image, or creating a story:
With Avril Lavigne, a very smart fan used voice analysis and spectrograms to determine Melissa, the impostor who now parades as Avril Lavigne in the music industry, is not the original Canadian singer.
It was a nail-in-the-coffin moment for me. The big ah-ha! It was stupendously obvious that Melissa IS NOT Avril. The current musician is an impostor, not based on rumors or hearsay, but on definite and verifiable spectrogram data.
Comparing her voice renditions to the original singer just blew the whole thing wide open for me. I used Google translate to read the blog post and view the images as it was in another language.
In the case of Chester Bennington's supposed suicide, we have a complete autobiography but no suicide note, no "motive" as they say.
Second, we have a history of suicide attempts - but real evidence of Chester making peace with it, in Mike's own words: Chester turned his depression and battles with his inner world by sharing it with his fans.
Chester was motivated to be a light for his fans, to create from a fusion of those emotions Mike and Chester shared and reshaped into, more or less, really positive musical expression.
His music was his healing.
So, what could possibly lead him to take his life? Even in the worst circumstances, Chester was already dealing with him 'demons'. Now this is all based on interviews with Chester and Mike: the music was healing him and everyone.
By all accounts, Chester was NOT depressed or suicidal at the time of his "suicide". Even if there were marital issues, he would not take his several children into this nightmare. It simply isn't possible -- the traits expressed, being a beacon of hopeful, renegade energy -- just wouldn't allow him to turn his back on family, friends and fans.
A singer that writes his painful feelings to help others heal, but then goes and cowardly takes his life plunging them all into grief and hopelessness? Yeah right. It doesn't fit, even if he did have a history of being vocal about depression in his personal life.
-- Thirdly, and importantly, no excess drug use was reported: we gather a rather sane state of mind from the crime scene.
Fourth, pivotally, there was NO suicide note reportedly found.
But I propose a different scenario:
- For whatever reason, Chester met foul play. He had just drank a beer or had a shot of vodka, whatever.
- the Autobiography required planning and was not written solely by him but with an assistant and the person who likely played a part in his death, in an attempt to suggest it as a suicide note or vaguely suggesting he was depressed enough to take his own life
- Mike knows more than he is letting on, but is signed to some serious NDA's that could mean the end of his contracts, definite litigation and worse, quite possibly if he knows Chester didn't take his own life. Instead, he tells the reporter 'well it's in the police report' -- without a single trace of faith in that report.
- The wife and children know something but must comply with the NDA's to keep the money and house(s).
Like Avril, Michael Jackson, hey, even the late Carrie Fisher, coincidental things seem to pop up amidst the tidy official reports of their deaths.
Carrie Fisher had JUST finished her autobiographical film of her legacy and promptly passed away.
Michael Jackson was slowly poisoned by his doctor.
In Lavigne's case, she passed away from illness and/or from refusing to sign on with the music labels. That's the gyst of what I've been able to gather. And confirm-ably, Melissa was a model body-double who knew and worked with Avril during absences and performances.
That's as much as we can figure, but Mike isn't convinced of the police report, the official story, and we find his non verbal behavior highly compelling - more so than the missing suicide note, the apparent presence of a completed autobiography, and an apparently very successful lead singer who had NO reason to give up and to throw those closest in his life into torments of grief and sorrows.
That's my 2 cents, and I believe in the end it will matter a lot -- that Chester was healed and healed with his musical and artistic voice in the world.
I call it the modus operandi of the motion picture and music industries. Chester was just in the middle of it all and a leaves behind a lot of really hurt people, which is contrary to his character and the contents of his interviews. Those closest to him, band mates, can more accurately explain the type of character their best friend had and it doesn't gel with a cowardly fairytale told by the official story
"...It's in the police report"
".....It's in the police report..."
".........It's in the police report......"
Then there's this but I'll leave that to you to dig around:
