HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE
How quick is time flying over, I have been so busy over the last few days mostly dealing with my oldest pup Mika. We are really worried about how her health as at the moment, she's panting a lot, we are having a heatwave here but even with a cold fan on her she's still panting, she's drinking lots of water, getting up through the night to drink but not quite making it outside before she has to pee, luckly we have the floors covered in doggy pads, she's also recently started to cough so today I decided she needs to see the Vet. The reason I've been hanging on is the last time we were there just over a month ago, the Vet said she may not go home the next time she comes in. Mika is 14. We have spent 4 hours at the Vets today getting blood tests and scans. Inbetween tests she got to lie in the car to relax as she not very good on her legs plus she got to cool down.

When we first got there they were thinking it's heart failure, you can imagine how scared we are, after the first blood tests they had to take another test as the blood clotted, they came back to say there were no problems with her liver and kidneys, next step was a scan which we thought she would have to go to the doggy hospital, thankfully they had time to fit her in on there scan which found she doesn't have any fluids on her lungs or heart. We still have to go to the doggy hospital as they need a deeper scan as now they think it's possibly Cancer.
We are booked in at the doggy hospital for 4pm tomorrow, she's been given some painkillers which have knocked her out, she's sleeping soundly plus looks a lot calmer not panting just resting. She's had her stomach shaved which will help her stay cool.

Her stomach is stolen due to her bladder being full but there was no blockages in the scan that's why they need a deeper scan. She also has a lump in her arm pit that fills with fluid, she's had this for years. She saw a vet about it a few years ago who said it wasn't cancerous, if it's this that comes back with cancer there will be some strong words.
We are keeping ensuring crossed for tomorrow, we know Mika is on her later life, we are keeping her for asking as we can asking as she isn't suffering. Her appetite hasn't changed, she still lover her food and trears plus still loves her short walks. We do have her insured, so the insurance will cover a good amount but we still have to pay more than usual due to her age, I don't care she's worth every single penny.
Thank you for visiting. 💟💟
