LowFi and Synthwave music streams on @vimm
Hey everyone.
In the last week I have started live streams of Lowfi HipHop music on @vimm. The streams have been getting views and upvotes and for that I thank everyone for the support.
I also just started a Synthwave music stream that also has gotten some viewers and upvotes.
The Bad News
The unfortunate news with both of those streams is they are now both suspended for the immediate future.
The reason, is that the computer that handled the streams has failed. It no longer powers up. I have done everything and every trick online to get it to run with no luck. And after further Googling it's looking like it might be terminal.
The age of the streaming PC I use is close to 10 years old, so I am not too surprised that this happened, but still it's a bummer when things like this happen.
Why I started the streams
I will give you guys some of the reasons I started these streams.
I'm a big fan of both music genres. And I thought others would enjoy them too.
The main reason, was that at times, since the relaunch of Vimm, there would be 1 or no live streams going during the late night hours for me here on the west coast of California. So I though it would be a good idea to at least have something streaming on Vimm during that time.
What the future holds
Well, right now it's not looking too good for the immediate return of the music streams. Again I was doing these streams as just for content for Vimm viewers. And the PC I was using was older hardware I dusted off and put to work. Currently I really don't have the funds to replace the streaming PC. Living in California ain't cheap I tell you.....lol.
So right now I'm down to my main PC which itself is getting up there in age. So I'm just going to focus on my gaming streams for the time being.
I have no plans on the music streams returning for the immediate future.
In conclusion, this sucks. And I would like to thank everybody for tuning in and listening, and to the guys at @vimm for having the fortitude to get back up and running after all the stuff they had to go through.
