I wasn't looking for a job. I love the one I've got! And I am the senior designer there right now. So it's a good position to be in. I work as an interior designer at a tile and flooring supply store. I'm a paid employee, but I also get a commission on the houses I design and supplies I sell. I have several builders and repeat customers who bring me regular work. I am well loved where I work. I have a good relationship with all the employees. My boss just hired an assistant to help me process my bids so I can focus on the sales and designs better. I was about to train two new designers and make them my own. The company lost three people in the last three months due to different events in their own lives. So right now, it's just me up front. And they need me. The systems we use are fairly complicated and difficult to learn.

Then I Got A Job Offer

And yet, amidst all this...I got a phone call. From a competing company only 3 minutes away from where I work, to come work for them. I turned them down at first. I was happy as a lark where I was. No need to change things up. But they insisted I meet them just for a chat, just in case something came up in the future. That made sense, so I went to meet with the owner. When I arrived, I listened to the job description. It was very similar. But sounded like a lateral move. So I explained that I really was rather well situated, but I appreciated being thought of.

"If they offer me $____" I thought, "I may have to consider their offer."

And then, just like that, within 30 seconds, he offered me the EXACT amount I had been thinking. This was crazy. I never thought a job like this would pay THAT much as a base pay. And here he was, just offering it to me!

Could it really be this easy? I felt like a Queen.

Still, I was very reluctant (and still am) to leave my current employer. He had just lost three people, and it was down to the nubbins with me. I couldn't do that to him.

I told him I couldn't just up and leave my job. I had a good gig, and I didn't want to leave my boss hanging. I was all he had at the moment, and I was going to be responsible for training the new designers coming in the next week or so.

This made me even MORE valuable!

Apparently this made me even more valuable to the new boss, that I did not want to leave my current boss hanging, and that I had developed a steady stream of clients in such a short time. So he then began talking about the company culture, the benefits, the team setting, the assistant I would have, the updated software I'd be using, and the flexible hours I would have. The hours worked way better with my son's school schedule. Which is something I Have wanted for awhile.

I realize every employer wants to paint a good picture, but his comments were stated almost AS IF HE READ MY MIND. This happens a lot with me -- people repeat verbatim the thing I am thinking. It's nothing new. But this was extra. He was creating the perfect job. I knew something was up and I should give a deeper listen. This was my own subconscious playing out right before my eyes.

Should I just stay and make the best of where I was?

I had manifested plenty of things at my current job as well. And I wondered if maybe I should just stay there and "manifest" all the things I wanted. But here it was, on a platter, everything I wanted, without having to try. It was already there. Put together in a package and tied up with a bow. If I stayed, I'd have to work at it. Make it become mine. And I'm definitely one for a challenge, and I liked that challenge. But I also liked having something handed to me on a platter as well. How often does that happen!

Even still, I turned down the offer. I told him I would really need to think about it. I just wasn't sure I could leave where I was. It wasn't something I had in my sights.

But a week later he called back and renewed his offer. And by then, I had had time to think about the numbers, and the hours, and the culture, and the job itself. And I accepted.

No such thing as ONE right decision - create what you want

It was a difficult decision to make. I hope I made the "right" one! But I'm not sure there is a such thing. I think either decision would have been the right decision. Both make a good case. And in the end, I chose the one that introduced more money and less stress, better hours, and a more flexible environment.

But what if it's a total fail?!

But what if I start the new job and it's a total bomb? What if it's not what I thought. What if I left a good thing and went to a worse thing? I got some really great encouragement from a hive pal of mine, @galenkp. He said the most insightful thing"

Becky, challenges are often what people need to help them achieve continual improvement personally and I believe you to be a person who seeks that.

He would be correct. I do seek a challenge, and I do like making things into something I can be proud of and walk away from knowing I made it better. You should read his recent post on his new job. It's impressive how he talks about challenges and how to approach them. Real stand up guy, that one.

I'll miss the current gig. I love the designs and the people I work with. I love the showroom and likely will not encounter anything like it in the near future. But I guess...it's time to sail off.

Tell me, did I manifest this new job? Or was it just a strange coincidence??? They say your best manifesting happens when you're not even trying. And I was not trying. Not one bit. My mind was primed with a lot of subconscious work I had been doing. I had a recording I listened to at night while I was sleeping, and I practiced "ignoring 3D" events that were troubling. But that was it.

Could it really be this simple? I have always sayd, when your subconscious and your self concept are in alignment, and you do your best to not react emotionally to aspects of your life you don't like, then everything falls into place.

And this is a prime example of how that happens. It's astounding what the mind can create. NOW I just need to create a scenario where I leave my boss in good hands, so his new employees are taken care of and well prepared for the new job. Because right now, I feel right horrid.

My Nightly Routine -- and how I get what I want

Let's see...first I brush my teeth, then I slip into something comfortable....

Then I tuck into bed with my smooth sheets and a heavy micro-velvety blanket. I snuggle with the dog for a little bit. And then, well...

I check my Discord messages to see which of you lovely friends has written me tonight. I have a conversation or two, and I chuckle because you are funny or charming. And you are probably working on some big important project for the blockchain, or for your family, or for the world. Or maybe you cashed in a full bitcoin and bought yourself a newer, faster Tesla. Or perhaps you wrote a novel about rivulets of water cascading off of person parts. But sometimes maybe you have had a bad day, and maybe accidentally spammed all of discord and got nearly permanently banned, or you lost all the daily tournaments on Splinterlands, or you hit your head on the fridge after slipping in the kitchen and fell unconscious for several hours onto the floor and woke up feeling bruised, and no one to feed you soup or pat your brow or tell you they loved you.

But whatever the case may be, you have made my day feel more complete with you in it.

Either that, or I write a blog post. About my nightly ritual.

And then it is time for me to go to bed.

So, I start to get a little drowsy. I scoot down a little further into the bed and rest my shoulders and my head against the memory foam pillow. Two of them. And at that point, I put my cushy blue noise cancelling headphones on. Less because they are noise cancelling, and more because sleeping with earbuds is uncomfortable. And these ones are more comfortable and squishy.

And then, I select one of 4 or 5 favorite nightly self concept reprogramming recordings. And I fall asleep listening to it while I visualize the end result of something wonderful in my life that I'd like to see happen. And that wonderful thing knows what it is. And it shall happen.

And that is basically it. That is my nightly ritual. Just about every night. This is where the magic happens, folks. I believe if it all about the subconscious. Once we have better command over that, then we have command over our world. I've attached my favorite links below to show you my secret to subconscious manifesting. These should get you started. The only other thing I do is DISREGARD 3D. This means, when something troubling or upsetting crops up for me during the day, I obviously handle what I need to at the most bare minimum to make sure it is being dealt with. And then --

I COMPLETELY TAKE MY ATTENTION OFF THE ISSUE. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I REMOVE MY EMOTIONAL REACTION TO IT. I CHANGE HOW I FEEL ABOUT IT AND REFRAIN FROM GETTING EMOTIONAL ABOUT IT. AS THIS EMOTION FUELS ITS EXISTENCE. I ASSIGN HAPPIER MEANINGS TO IT. I GIVE IT A DIFFERENT INTERPRETATION SO I CAN HAVE AN EASIER REACTION TO IT.

I do this because I know that emotionally reacting to a current reality is telling the reality that it is real, but more importantly, it is telling the belief that is creating it that it is real. And we are trying to CHANGE our subconscious beliefs. We cannot do that if we continue to respond to them as if they are true!

The reason we emotionally react to things is because they embody our fears and frustrations about ourselves and our life. If we had a clear set of core beliefs, then these things would not upset us. Nor would they exist.
