Everyday millions of people use the internet posting, commenting, and sharing their content. The internet is a powerful tool of our day, it a dangerous tools with the wrong hands, but we often forget that behind this content there are real humans with feelings, with struggles and battles they don't post them for us to see.
Recently, I read online about a content creator who likes dancing. This woman constantly gets bullied online because of her big stomach despite she explaining that she is living with fibroid they still make fun of her.
The hurtful comments didn't stop as well as the bullying. So she eventually decided to undergo tummy tuck surgery to look better in the eyes of others. Sadly, she did not make it out of the hospital alive. * Although I don't have all the facts.
I really felt bad hearing this because I have watched her video how she was dancing with so much energy and vibes. I feel people need to earn to use the comment section to encourage and not destroy other.
Sometimes we might think * it's just a comment* or I was joking but the truth is that our words can be the reason someone feels worthy or even worthless
If you can’t say something kind, if you can’t leave a genuine compliment, then simply scroll past. It’s not every post you have to comment on. Sometimes, silence is better than cruelty.
We need more kindness online than cruelty.
If you can't build someone up, don't tear them down.we don't know the mental and emotional state of the person reading our words.
Let's do better.
